ELLIE COLETTI: RIDER, TRAINER, COACH (AND PART-TIME SUPERMODEL)

Ellie has always had a natural connection with animals. As a tot Pony Clubber, she developed a solid base of horsemanship and competed in dressage, show jumping and eventing rallies. Later, she turned her focus to classical dressage.

Trained through Grand Prix, Ellie specializes in creating a solid foundation for both horse and rider.

Having always had a love for jumping, Ellie realized that the flat skills she was training translated well in jumping. She began experimenting building better jumpers by strenthening their overall muscle condition and elasticity, integrating the core principles of upper level dressage. The result was more balanced, agile animals better prepared in the show ring.

Ellie has built her life around animals. Her horses, dogs and cats come before anything else. A natural competitor but at the end of the day, if all her horses are happy, healthy, moving well and ready for the next day, she goes to bed smiling.

PIPER

Her name is Piper One Niner. We call her Piper. Or Doodle. Or Doodle Bug. Or Bug. Ellie rescued her from Maine in a Piper Airplane, piloted by her brother. Ever since, the two have been inseparable. Upon greeting, Piper will drop and roll over for a belly rub - do this and she's yours forever too :)

GRETA B.

Piper wanted a puppy. Greta B (short for Beatrice) is the kind of dog Ellie never thought she'd have and now can't imagine living without. Little and scrappy, this mutty pup keeps Piper entertained on a daily basis. She will also roll over for a belly rub but since she's practically on the ground, it isn't much of a drop. Call her Miss B and she'll keep you smiling for hours.

MERLIN

Merlin's been around since the beginning of time. No, but you would think so! Loyal, trustworthy and a heart of gold, you can do anything with him. Patient enough to teach kids how to steer, versatile enough to hop on bareback and skip over some jumps and steady enough to help trailer nervous horses. We HEART Merlin <3

MR. SUNSHINE

Raised as a hunter, presently working lower-level dressage. Hoping to do a little bit of everything with this ultra sweet sport-horse.

Ellie's sweet little Welsh Cobb mare... currently enjoying maternity leave out in beautiful Western Mass.

BABY EMMA

One plus one should equal two but sometimes it equals a patchwork quilt. Once Upon A Time, or Baby Emma as we call her, was born in August 2012 and seems to be an odd reincarnation of Ellie's first dog, Chukie. Hmm. Yea, we're shaking our heads too.

They say it takes a village… this would be a very small but important village. Much of the work at Cloud 9 is done or overseen by Ellie's right hand man, Lalo - a natural animal whisperer and one of the hardest workers on earth. He is instrumental to the operations at Cloud 9. Kelli and Stino help Lalo provide top-notch daily horsecare. Ellie's longest-ever supporter, her mother, Suzy is often on the sidelines cheering you on. At horseshows, Ellie's sister Sarah pops up - Sarah and Ellie grew up riding and managed a barn together at one point.
